Have you ever considered refurbishing your signs?

Refurbishing outdoors or indoors existing signage is a great way to save money without the need to go through the process of creating a whole new sign.  Refurbishing signs can even be used for your own existing signage that needs some freshening up or if you relocate and need to re-use an existing sign.

Refurbishing signs is much cheaper than purchasing a whole new one and depending on your city you might be able to avoid going through a whole new permitting process which is usually required for new signage units. Unless you are changing the basics of your sign, there should be no need for you to go through a new city permit process but make sure to confirm with your own city. Also, refurbished signs often can be completed on a shorter timeline than brand new ones.

You may also want to consider continuous maintenance and repair services for your sign as a way to make sure that your investment is being leveraged to its full potential. Any and all signs will experience wear and tear at some point. Keep in mind though that at some point, your sign might need a facelift and this is where you can look into signage refurbishing services.

What Does Your Font Say About Your Brand?

Not many pay attention to their font and the power it has over their brand.  Your font offers a great opportunity to make your brand stand out among the competition. Do not settle for the default option. Develop a clear idea on what image you would like to project through your font selection. Choosing a font helps you define your brand’s personality beyond your logo, colors, name and tagline.

Start by identifying the typeface of choice; it is the set of characters of the same design. These characters include letters, numbers, punctuation marks, and symbols. Try to choose a typeface that would be the most engaging for your target audience in order create a huge difference between engaging your customers and losing their attention.

Your font family is the name set for your typeface (Times New Roman, Arial, or Calibri). Your font category refers to a general classification such as:

  • Serif fonts that have a line at the end of the stroke. They reflect the image of being professional and traditional
  • Sans Serif fonts that do not have a line at the end of the stroke. They reflect the image of crisp and modern
  • Handwriting fonts are usually more causal and personal. They reflect friendly.
  • Script fonts are formal, sophisticated and decorative.
  • Display fonts come with a wide variety of design and styles.

Keep in mind that fonts are an excellent way to communicate emotions. While some can help you dramatize your message, others can be more subtle. Your message and the emotions you are trying to evoke need to be aligned with your overall brand and voice.

Regardless of which way you go, the key is to make sure that your font conveys the same message you want your brand to represent.

Effective Design for Trade Show Booth

–          Reach out to the management of the event and learn all the details including size, wall space availability, access to electrical outlets, and more.

Your products/services need to be the center of attention. As you plan your display, make sure that you do not overdo and clutter your space.

Keep your message simple and to the point. Stay focused on your core message that will leave a lasting impression and try to avoid bombarding the attendees with tons of messages that will go unnoticed.

Consider including a video on a widescreen projection/TV screen that can capture people’s attention.

Think about the reasons of why the attendees will stop at your booth – is it the product/service? Is it the design? Is it your welcoming message and nice attitude?

Keep it simple but be creative – Focus on building your brand and creating awareness for your product/service.

Consider opening up your booth by eliminating the table across the front and eliminating any barriers that will prevent the attendees from “walking in”.
